The 2015 Wreaths of Deerfield

Each year, a group of volunteers gets together during the first week of December to craft more than 40 wreaths to decorate the doors of houses on Old Main Street in Deerfield. This year, 49 volunteers, both individually and in teams, made 49 wreaths for 42 locations. If you are visiting Historic Deerfield during Heritage Holiday, make sure to pick up a copy of “A Guide to the Wreaths of Deerfield.” The booklet shows each wreath, along with the creator and the materials. The guide follows the wreaths on the street from south to north. Thank you to everyone who helped make wreaths this year!

You can also check out the  guide online.

Materials for the wreaths were obtained from Emerson Tree Farm and Kingsbury’s Christmas Trees and the collections of staff and volunteers while walking around.

Volunteers Lynne Barclay and Sarah Ardrey work on making wreaths for the historic houses of Old Deerfield.
