Seven finalists in the 4th annual Historic Deerfield King Arthur Flour Holiday Cookie Baking Contest competed to win on Saturday, December 3 at  Historic Deerfield. The entries were judged on taste, appearance, festiveness, originality, and overall appeal.

The winners of the contest were:

Gold (First Place)

Blue (Second Place)
Cindy Silkworth, Schodack Landing, NY, “Creme de Menthe Chocolate Brownies”

Red (Third Place)
Charlsie Woodside, Leverett, MA, “Nana’s Sugar Cookies”

Green (Fourth Place)
Tammy Aiken, Turners Falls, MA, “Butternut Squash Bars with Cream Cheese Frosting”

People’s Choice Award Winner
Cindy Silkworth, Schodack Landing, NY, “Creme de Menthe Chocolate Brownies”

The winners received a $50 gift certificate to KingArthurFlour.com/The Baker’s Catalogue.

The event also included a demonstration on fruitcake by chef Dede Wilson.
