What to Expect During Your Visit

  •  The historic houses and museums of Historic Deerfield, Inc., are located along the mile-long street in the village of Old Deerfield.  A shuttle with limited seating will be providing transportation up and down the street, however comfortable footwear is recommended for the day.
  • Museum houses will be open for walk-through tours of the first floors. Groups of 10 people at a time will be able to tour the house.

  • Activity “zones” will be set up along the street, giving visitors the opportunity to experience everything from period re-enactors to historic trades and handicrafts.

  • Food will be available in several locations:
    • North Zone: drinks and sandwiches from the Museum Gift Shop & Bookstore
    • Central Village: the Deerfield Lunch Box provides lunch, beverages and snacks. The Museum Gift Shop & Bookstore features drinks and snacks
    • Champney’s Restaurant & Tavern at the Deerfield Inn is open for lunch starting at 12 p.m. A kid's menu will  be available.
    • Picnic tables are available throughout the village, and picnics are encouraged!
